EnergyLandia and Legendia are undoubtedly the two most popular amusement parks in Poland, which attract thousands of guests every year. In addition to the rich offer of attractions and emotions, visitors pay attention to the aesthetics and cleanliness of these places, which have a significant impact on the overall impression of the visit. In this article, we will compare, which of these parks can boast better decoration and attention to order?, analysing both visitor opinions and our own observations.
EnergyLandia’s interior design
EnergyLandia is divided into 7 thematic zones. From what Bajkolandia, Family Zone and Extreme are strongly connected and mixed together. The remaining zones (Water Park, Dragon Castle, Aqualantis and Sweet Valley) are specially designed and themed areas referring to some land. It is these themed zones that make the greatest impression in the park in Zator. Really they are close to the best European amusement parks.

New zones in EnergyLandia
Dragon Castle It refers to a town of dragons, with buildings stylized as medieval. The layout of the alleys, decorations and plants in front of the main gate are impressive. In the background, a huge wooden and metal Zadra, which makes quite a noise with every pass, raising adrenaline even while having a meal in the neighborhood. Aqualantis is, in turn, a water land referring to the myth of Atlantis. We have Abyssus stylized as boats, we have ubiquitous water reservoirs and architecture reminding us of the aforementioned myth. However, it took up space for more plants, and large stretches of concrete sidewalks were built. Sweet Valley this is a candy land, which is ideal for the youngest visitors to the park. It is very colorful, cookie-like, and there is also room for low vegetation.

Old zones in EnergyLandia
The main zones of EnergyLandia (Bajkolandia, Family Zone and Extreme Zone), as I mentioned earlier, are very mixed together. It is difficult to find the boundaries between them here. In addition, smaller themes have been woven into the zones. For example, we have a Viking village, a Swiss village, or the land of the Aztecs. It’s nice, dense, and the vegetation has grown quite a bit since 2014. Unfortunately, there are also places in this part of the park that I personally do not like as much. For example, the zone with the Formula restaurant and rollercoaster is a large concrete square with a rather unimpressive building of the aforementioned restaurant. It clashes with the theme of the nearby Anaconda, or the volcano with the restaurant. It is similar in the area of the Speed rollercoaster, Jungle Adventure and Viking Ride. A lot of concrete and probably not fully developed area.

There are also many reservations about the pool area. Although several well-maintained pools, a whole lot of slides and sun loungers make an impression at first glance, because it the largest outdoor aquapark in Poland, however, large areas of concrete and pavements made of cobblestones spoil the overall impression. There is a lack of atmospheric vegetation that refers to tropical destinations. However, I am aware that Concrete has its practical explanation: hundreds of people walking barefoot on concrete bring less dirt into pools than if they were walking on grass, sand, or other loose surfaces.

Bajkolandia itself (the old zone for the youngest) is also a rather chaotic layout with buildings that are clearly out of date and quality than the newer infrastructure. However, it is fabulous and that is the most important thing for the little ones.

Legendia’s decor
The Silesian Legendia Park has been conventionally divided into 5 thematic zones. Unfortunately, they are far from the thematic ones known from Energylandia or other amusement parks in the world. Walking around Legendia, you get the impression that the park is one big zone with a lake in the middle. Apart from phenomenal theming of the Lech rollercoaster, quite decent decoration of the Diamond River and Yagi Valley attractions, the rest of the park, despite undergoing a thorough revitalization of the infrastructure in recent years, is not distinguished by any particular division into zones.

Walking around Legendia, you get the impression that you are in an ordinary city park, not in an amusement park. Maybe that’s a good thing. A large amount of vegetation, impressively sized trees and a large pond in the middle of the park add to the pleasant atmosphere while playing in the park. The attractions are located at large intervals, so you don’t feel overwhelmed, and the numerous benches and grassy clearings allow you to easily rest.

Despite everything, it is not difficult to see in Legendia architecture from the last century, or neglected places. In many places, better land development and refinement of the existing architecture would be useful. It is also not difficult to find unused buildings and attractions that were closed for a long time ago but for some unknown reason, they still disfigure the park.

A big plus is the phenomenal lighting during the winter garden of lights, which I like much more in Legendia than the lighting in EnergyLandia during Magic Night and Winter Kingdom. I have the impression that the thousands of lights in EnergyLandia during the winter are scattered throughout the park, which destroys the intended effect. In Legendia, the lighting is concentrated in a small space, and in addition, the phenomenally decorated trees in the lights create a magical atmosphere.

Gaming arcades in Legendia and EnergyLandia
Finishing the topic of décor, I cannot pass by indifferently the topic related to gaming arcades and arcade games, which can be found both in EnergyLandia and Legendia.
In Legendia, gaming arcades can be compared to places found in popular holiday resorts on the Polish seaside. They’re just stalls without any thoughtful atmosphere or decor.

In EnergyLandia it looks completely different. Each gaming point is modern and fits into the atmosphere of a specific zone and it certainly doesn’t remind you of the seaside stalls I mentioned. Compare the photo above and below.

Cleanliness in EnergyLandia
Without a doubt EnergyLandia focuses on the cleanliness of its park. You can meet a lot of cleaning crew members during a one-day trip to EnergyLandia. Whether they are wiping down tables in the food courts, collecting small pieces of rubbish from the sidewalks, or even wiping down trash cans after light rainfall.

In the Zator EnergyLandia park, it is hard for me to find any shortcomings in terms of order. You have to really work hard to find trash on the sidewalk, cigarette butts, a dirty bench or bathroom.

It is no different with the attractions. Rollercoasters and carousels are well-maintained and their good cleanliness is maintained. For almost 100 stays in EnergyLandia only once did I get my light shoes dirty with some technical substance. It was on the Abyssus rollercoaster.
Thanks to all this I really appreciate EnergyLandia for paying attention to the smallest details. Because our comfort in the park is not only ensured by attractive carousels and roller coasters, but also by cleanliness, neatness, well-kept vegetation and architecture.

Purity in Legendia
The Silesian amusement park falls short of cleanliness standards, which we can experience in EnergyLandia. Nevertheless, this does not mean that Legendia is dirty. The main walkways, benches, and food zones are well-kept and tidy. However, you do not see the cleaning crew as often. It is harder to see them in „action”, which means that in my opinion they do not care about cleanliness on a regular basis.

For this reason, every time I visit Legendia, I come across small pieces of garbage in various places in the park, usually by the benches and garbage cans. Fortunately, these small shortcomings on the part of the cleaning staff do not affect the perception of cleanliness in the entire park that much.
Back in 2023, walking from the parking lot to the entrance to Legendia, literally a dozen or so meters from the entrance gates, you could come across the following view:

I admit that the first time I was embarrassed by the garbage dump at the former station of the narrow-gauge railway that had been out of service for years. However, I assume that the responsibility for this area lies not with the Legendia manager, but with the management of the entire Silesian Park. Fortunately, this area has already been tidied up and does not scare visitors.
I would like to say a few more words about the technical facilities of Legendia. In the vicinity of the toilets at the Diamond River attraction, you can easily look behind the fence of the technical facilities. Well, what can I say – it doesn’t look good. Buildings from several decades ago and a lot of mess in this area are evidence that someone has neglected order here.

Finally, I would like to say a few words about the attractions. While in EnergyLandia, out of almost 100 visits, I have only once gotten dirty with some grease, in Legendia I almost always come across dirty attractions. Unfortunately, one time I ruined my shorts on the Diamond River boat. After getting some indelible substance on them, the shorts ended up in the trash can.
