Contrary to appearances, the first carriage on a water attraction does not necessarily mean that we will get the most splashed on it. The intensity of water effects is also influenced by the load of the cart, and even the season and weather where to sit on the water attractions in Energylandia to get the most wet, and where there is less splashing? Let’s consider this using all the water attractions available in Energylandia as an example.
Where to sit on the Speed rollercoaster?
This highest and fastest water roller coaster in the world takes us by elevator to a 50-meter tower, from which we flow at a speed of about 100 km/h. One Speed carriage can hold up to 10 people in 5 rows of 2 people. There are 2 water splash points on the Speed. The first is right after the 50-meter drop, and the second is at the very end of the ride.
In the first point I was practically never splashed. Here you can only count on water mist or individual drops. In the first row we have a practically guaranteed stay dry.
The second point is completely different. This is the place famous for its intensive shower. The amount of water that enters the boat and splashes us is very large. It can also be assumed that the more loaded the boat is, the more water rises up. However, from my observations, the more central part of the carriage is hit with the most water. Of course, if you sit in the first one, you can’t count on not getting splashed.
I’ve seen many videos on YouTube of water getting into the car up to mid-calf. It’s never happened to me personally, but I can imagine it’s possible. Be prepared to get out of the Speed wet, and in the worst case, completely soaked. Those in the front row usually get less splashed, while those sitting further back usually get more soaked.
Where is the most splashy place on the Anaconda rafting trip?
On Anaconda we have two steep descents: the first is 11 meters high and the second is 17 meters high. The boats can reach a maximum speed of 55 km/h. Each boat can accommodate up to 20 people at a time in five rows of 4 people.
The first point where you can interact with water is the inlet to the first hill, right after leaving the station. On warm days, waterfalls are launched on the right side, which gently sprinkle the people sitting on the right side of the boat. There is no talk of getting soaked here, only a gentle splash.
When going down the first slope we can expect a light splash. The first row of people will probably stay dry, while the others may receive a strong spray of water in the face. People sitting at the far sides are most at risk of being splashed.
After the second trip we will get a large dose of splashing water, and the heavier the boat, the more water there usually is. The situation is similar to the first drop, the first row is usually less splashed. However, I have never gotten off the Anaconda as wet as I was off the Speed, so it can be considered that the degree of splashing is moderate.
Can we get wet on the Jungle Adventure inflatables?
Jungle Adventure is a rafting trip in 8-person pontoons down a raging river nearly 500 meters long. Along the route of the attraction, there are numerous water effects and surprises, including water jumps and waterfalls. I will add right away that in spring and autumn the water flow is definitely smaller, and additional effects in the form of waterfalls are turned off. As a result, we emerge from almost every crossing unsplattered.
The situation changes on warm and hot days. Then the current is increased to the maximum and, in addition, the waterfalls are activated. The first time we may get splashed is a few moments after we start the trip. On one of the water drops, the water can splash so much that it can even reach our heads. Remember that the pontoon is round and constantly rotating, so it is impossible to determine where to sit. It is a lottery, some people will come out of the trip not wet, while others may be completely soaked.
The next spot is a sequence where the river turns left and right. The current there also increases and some water can get into the pontoon. The greatest risk of getting wet is at the very end of the trip, just behind camera taking a picture. The last of the waterfalls awaits us there. The pontoon likes to sail under it, and the person who happens to be on the side of the rock, it will be completely covered with water from above. Guaranteed to get soaked, sometimes even more than on Speed.
Please also remember that standing up is prohibited on Jungle Adventure! Do not change seats, do not stand up to avoid contact with water, or try to walk on the pontoon. In extreme cases, this can even end up capsizing the entire pontoon. Two lifeguards are on duty at Jungle Adventure. If they see you standing up, they will warn you with a whistle.
Atlantis
Atlantis is a smaller version of the pontoons. The nearly 500-meter-long river is crossed in small 4-person pontoons. There aren’t many places on the route where we could get splashed, but there are a few surprises. The first place is the exit from the platform, right after taking a seat in the pontoon. Sometimes some water gets into the pontoon, but we can only get our legs and seats wet.
Further on, the rafting is scenic and relaxing. Only a bit after the tunnel do the first effects begin. On very warm days, in two locations, really powerful sprinklers are turned on to generate water mist. We won’t get soaked, but we will be splashed quite a bit from head to bottom. The current increases slightly after the sprinklers, but don’t worry. We won’t get splashed. At most, sometimes some water will get to the bottom of the pontoon, which can only result in soaking your shoes. Similar to Jungle Adventure, On Atlantis, it is also forbidden to get up, and order is maintained by lifeguards.
Toffifee Gold Mine
The Gold Mine is a rafting trip on boats resembling wooden logs, which can accommodate up to 4 people. On the route of almost 150 meters, there are two descents into the water, first a lower one, then a higher one. Don’t count on a lot of splashing here, but we are guaranteed a light dose of cooling, especially on the second descent. The person sitting in the front gets the most splashes, as well as taller people. Adults should sit in the back and children in the front.
Splash Battle, Viking Ride and Whirlpool Water Fight
The scenic and water attractions themselves do not splash. The game consists of having water cannons on board the boat, from which we shoot at people on other boats. The more people and the more boats occupied, the more we can be splashed. Of course, we also shoot water at others.
At Splash Battle we must also watch out for guest observers who, for PLN 5, can use a cannon located outside the attraction. If we find ourselves within its reach, we could get really soaked.
On the Viking Ride, if we want to survive the battle as long as possible and at the same time take less part in the water battle, it is best to sit on the left side of the boat. Additionally, on very warm days, a jet of water is shot into the air on the Viking Ride every few minutes. If we happen to swim next to the shot, we can count on a light splash. In Whirlpool Water Fight, similarly to Splash Battle, the more people, the better the water shooting.
Of course, the water-viewing boats are also a great scenic attraction in the autumn or spring season, when practically no one uses them. Then we are sure that we will get out of them without getting splashed.
I also discovered one interesting fact on the Viking Ride. There is a chance (small) that if we are sitting on the left side, and at the same time we are perfectly next to the exit from the RMF Dragon tunnel, and the rollercoaster is leaving the tunnel at the same time, we will be able to gently splash people on the Dragon. I have never managed to do this, but I have heard that it is possible. Try it yourself and let me know in the comment below whether you managed to do this feat.
Where to dry off after the water attractions at Energylandia?
After such water attractions, are we forced to continue having fun while wet? Are there dryers in Energylandia where we can dry our clothes and hair?
Fortunately, practically every water attraction has Turbo Dryers installed, where for 5 PLN we can dry ourselves for 3 minutes. Where the dryers are located, how to use them and whether they are actually efficient, you will learn more from the article: Are there hair dryers in Energylandia?
