Energylandia is undoubtedly the leader among amusement parks in Poland, and one of the largest amusement parks in Europe. It already has 20 rollercoasters. Without a doubt, Energylandia in Zator is one of the leaders in roller coasters in Europe. So how do the roller coasters in Poland compare to European amusement parks? Where does Energylandia stand with its offer? Do we as Poland have anything to brag about? I present the TOP 10 ranking of the best rollercoasters in Europe.
We start from the last place in TOP 10 best rollercoasters in Europe ranking.
The ranking was based on the website: https://captaincoaster.com

10 – Hyperion – the second highest and fastest roller coaster in Europe!
Hyperion is the highest and fastest roller coaster in Poland, the second highest and fastest in Europeandtenth fastest and eighth highest in the world! These numbers should speak for themselves and there is no need to add anything further. When falling from 82 meters at an angle of 85 degrees, we reach a speed of 142 km/h and we include many intense negative overloads and one inversion.

The ride takes place on a track of length 1450 meters, and the overloads reach a mere 4.8 g. Due to the modest protections that support us only in the thighs, we experience strong, long-lasting and repeated effects of falling out of the chair. You just have to experience it for yourself!

9 – Helix – Sweden
Helix is a steel rollercoaster that has been available since 2014 at the Swedish amusement park Liseberg. Its height is 41 meters, and the track is as long as 1381 meters we travel at a speed of up to 100 km/h. The train is powered by an electromagnetic drive, similar to the Formula or Abyssus. The number of inversions is worth noting, as it is as much as 7. That’s 2 more than Mayan and Abyssus in Energylandia. Helix is famous for its great weightlessness effects, numerous inversions and interesting track layout.

8 – Expedition GeForce – Germany
Holiday Park in Germany has a steel roller coaster from 2001 that takes us on a ride along a track that is 1220 meters The height of the main hill is 53 meters The queue reaches as high as 120 km/h (just like Zadra). Unfortunately, the rollercoaster does not have any inversion, but it provides a lot of pleasant overloads, and the fall from the main hill itself is very extreme.

7 – Taron – Germany
In seventh place we have another coaster from Germany. This time it is a steel rollercoaster by Intamin (also the manufacturer Hyperion), which has been available in the Phantasialand park since 2016. Its height is the only 30 meters, but the track length is 1320 meters combined with a speed of up to 117 km/h provide great fun. Despite the lack of inversion, Taron is considered a very comfortable rollercoaster with a pleasant throw effect during take-off.

6 – Wildfire – Sweden
Wildfire is an offer from the Swedish amusement park Kolmården. The rollercoaster takes us to 56 meters the ascent, accelerating during the descent to 113 km/h. The track counts 1265 meters length. It is a wooden train made by RMC (also the manufacturer of Zadra) located among the rocks with 3 inversions. The location of the attraction makes it unique, and the first drop is considered very extreme.

5 – Kondaa — Belgium
The Walibi Belgium park proposal is 50-meter steel rollercoaster by Intamin. Its length is 1200 meters, and the speed at the peak moment reaches 113 km/h. Despite the lack of inversion, Kondaa is famous for its numerous weightless effects, smooth ride, great drop, g-forces and comfort.

4 – Untamed – Netherlands
The Dutch park Walibi Holland has a hybrid coaster Untamed manufactured by RMC in 2019. The track length is 1085 meters, the main peak rises to 37 meters, and the speed reaches 92 km/h. During the ride, there is a waiting room for us 5 inversions. The coaster is characterized by a very smooth track, numerous overloads and high intensity. In addition, it is very similar to Zadra.

3 – Ride to Happiness — Belgia
Ride to Happiness is one of the rollercoasters in the Belgian amusement park Plopsaland de Panne. Its length is only 920 meters, height 35 meters and reaches speed 90 km/h. During the trip we cover as much as 6 inversions. Daredevils who have tried this steel rollercoaster, which was put into service in 2021, praise it for its numerous and intense inversions, interesting zero-gravity effects and interesting track layout. The experience is enhanced by cars that rotate around their own axis.

2 – Taiga — Finland
We reached the second place in the ranking TOP 10 best rollercoasters in Europe. This place is occupied by the Taiga railway installed in Finland in Linnanmäki Park. The length of the track is 1104 meters, height 52 meters, and the speed reaches 106 km/h. During the ride we overcome 4 inversion, and guests appreciate the Taiga coaster for the intensity of the experience, magnetic drive and numerous states of weightlessness.

1 – Zadra — TOP 1 in all of Europe!
Zadra takes the deserved first place in the ranking TOP 10 best rollercoasters in Europe.
Zadra is already a legend. Although Zadra is not the highest and fastest roller coaster in Energylandia, it ranks higher than Hyperion in many rankings. This list is no different. What’s more, according to world rankings, Zadra is ranked as the third best roller coaster in the world! Zadra reaches a speed of 121 km/h, and the drop is 63 meters at a full 90-degree angle. The length of the track is as much as 1316 meters, during which we experience 3 inversions, numerous strong effects and overloads equal to 4 g. In addition, the experience is intensified by the wooden and steel structure, the proximity of the supports and specific sounds.

This all speaks for itself. The intensity of the sensations is incredible! They are intensified by the modest protection and lack of support for the shoulders and head. There is no time to think, analyze or rest during the ride. From the drop to the braking section, so much happens, so fast and so hard, that I recommend including Zadra as your last attraction. It can be used by anyone over 140 cm tall.
