Abyssus to stalowy rollercoaster typu double-launched coaster. It was manufactured by the Dutch company Vekoma and put into operation in Energylandia on July 14, 2021. Abyssus is located in the zone Aqualantis and is its flagship attraction. This is one of the best, fastest and longest rollercoasters in Energylandia. Its parameters are second only to Zadra and Hyperion. In my personal ranking of the TOP 10 best attractions of Energylandia takes a high third place!
Abyssus was built from 90,500 elements, and the entire structure weighs 815 tons. Just one train set weighs 7 tons. To drive a train with 16 seats of such great weight, you need a lot of power. And this is 5,210 HP, which allows the train to accelerate to 100 km/h.

Abyssus ride description
After leaving the station, the train stops for a moment next to a siding. After a moment, it is fired for the first time using the LSM drive. It makes a 180-degree turn to the right, then spirals left 270 degrees, slaloms, makes another 180-degree turn, and then climbs a small hill.

After this relatively quiet warm-up sequence, the Abyssus coaster enters the main and very long LSM drive, where it is boosted to speeds of up to 100 km/h. After accelerating, the train enters the main hill of 38.5 meters, from which it descends 40 meters. Then it overcomes loops, turns left 90 degrees and passes through a double batwing inversion.

After passing two inversions the train passes an S-shaped hill, a simple climb with very pleasant negative overloads and turns 180 degrees to the right. Then it makes its only corkscrew, turns 90 degrees to the left, and drives over another hill with a feeling of being torn out of the seat while tilting to the right.

Finally, Abyssus turns 270 degrees to the left and 90 degrees to the right and is braked. After a right turn, it returns to the station.

My personal experiences during the Abyssus ride
I rank Abyssus third in TOP 10 best attractions in Energylandia. Abyssus is definitely lower in height than Hyperion and Zadra, but there is a lot going on there. We only get a moment of respite in the first sequence, where we overcome several turns and hills at a relatively low speed. The real fun begins after the second acceleration. A very pleasant descent from the main peak, three upside-down loops, numerous climbs that tear us off our seats and a very pleasant corkscrew. All of this means that Abyssus isn’t boring, but it’s also not as extreme as Zadra. The ride is intense and pleasant. It provides adrenaline, but it is not scary. I highly recommend Abyssus to all of you who love the Formula rollercoaster.

How long does the wait for Abyssus take place?
Due to the availability of Abyssus from a height of 120 cm, it is actually the strongest attraction for children from 6-7 years of age. For this reason, during the Abyssus season, very long queues can form with waiting times of up to 40-60 minutes. However, in early summer there shouldn’t be long queues and we should be able to complete the Abyssus ride in 10-20 minutes at most.

If we really want to ride the Abyssus during our vacation, let’s go there after it opens, around 12 o’clock. We can then count on a small queue, or even entry without waiting. I must add that There are no shelves in the Abyssus station to put items from your pockets. It is not a big problem for employees to store a hat or glasses on their chairs, but recently they have been having a problem with keeping phones. I strongly encourage you to put all your belongings in the deposit lockers, so that you do not have any unnecessary items at the station. And of course Under no circumstances do you travel by train with your phone in your pocket!

The entrance to Abyssus is almost at the end of the Aqualantis zone. You need to get to the main central square of the zone and head right (next to the Hall of Columns restaurant). On the right side where you can see the two Abyssus loops is the entrance to the rollercoaster.
