Mayan is a world-famous inverted roller coaster, where the track is located above our heads. There are as many as 27 practically identical copies in various amusement parks around the world. What’s more, Mayan is the largest inverted rollercoaster in Energylandia, as well as in Poland. It has the largest number of inversions (5 inversions) and very strong overloads reaching up to 5 g. In my personal ranking of the TOP 10 best attractions in Energylandia Mayan takes a high fifth place!

Mayan ride description
After leaving the station, the train is pulled out with a chain the main elevation is 33.3 meters high. It goes down the curve to the right and overcomes the double inversion Roll-over. Then the coaster overcomes the incline while changing direction to the left. He then goes through a second Sidewinder inversion and two barrel rolls in a row. Finally, the train makes a 180-degree turn, does a small slalom and is braked. After the brake section, it returns to the right to the station.
My personal experiences during the Mayan ride
Mayan is a tightly packed rollercoaster that often gives the impression of being very close to the supports and other track elements. This phenomenon intensifies the experience and adrenaline. In addition, there is a lot going on during the 40-second ride. Numerous inversions, elevations and changes of direction provide great fun from the ride. For me the best moment is the double barrel on the final run. It is very long and the effect of swinging the body is electrifying.
Unfortunately I also have to say two negative words about the Mayan queue. The ride is not as smooth and comfortable as on Formula, Dragon, or Hyperion. Practically from the very drop to the end, Mayan experiences considerable vibrations and tremors, and in addition, in many places on the track there is a strong jerking of the coaster. We probably won’t hit our heads, but it does take away from the fun of the ride. I also have the impression that the further away we sit, the stronger the vibrations become, which really negatively affects the rollercoaster experience.
How long does the wait for Mayan be?
We will reach Mayana by heading towards the Viking Village. The entrance is at the very end, behind the Anaconda attraction. Although it is an extreme coaster, it has not been as popular as Hyperion, Zadra, Formula, or even Dragon. During the holidays, there are days with a 30-40 minute queue, but it is easy to encounter a waiting time of 10-20 minutes.
In the off-season, there should be virtually no problem using Mayan without waiting. At most, we may encounter a 10-minute queue. I must also add that the downside of Mayan is leaving it. After leaving the station, we go through the back of Mayan and Tsunami Drop. Then we have to go through the shop and only then we can go back to the rollercoaster area. This adds a lot of distance if we want to use the same rollercoaster again.
