How to check the waiting time for attractions in Energylandia?

Virtually every person going to Energylandia wonders whether there will be queues, and if so, how long they will be. I will admit right from the start that it is impossible to predict exactly whether there will be long queues tomorrow, whether there will be any next weekend, and how long. You can adopt certain rules that make it easier to determine the potential waiting time, which you will read about in the post When are the fewest people at Energylandia? However, it is worth knowing two reliable methods by which we can find out how long the wait for attractions in Energylandia is. Here they are.

Screens in Energylandia

Throughout Energylandia there are many boards with screens presenting the current waiting times for the most popular attractions. The first such screen can be seen on the right side in front of the entrance gates to the park in Zator.

The next ones can be found next to Energus, in front of Formula, in front of the entrance gate to Sweet Valley, Dragon Castle and Aqualantis. And also behind Dragon Castle in front of the Frida rollercoaster, in Bajkolandia and a few other places. The screens present a list of approximately 30 of the park’s best attractions along with estimated waiting times.

The word „indicative” is appropriate here, as often the actual waiting time in the queue was 5-15 minutes longer than on the screens above. There are several reasons. If the Hyperion displays 10 minutes, we go to the queue and then stand in it for 25 minutes, it may mean that people are more densely packed in the queue. Either there is only one train in the queue currently running, or a second train is being added or an additional train is being removed. Of course, we will be informed about the addition/removal of an additional train via the public address system. This is a clear signal to us that the waiting time will be longer than indicated on the screens.

Waiting time counters in front of the attraction

At almost every entrance to an attraction there are small LED displays showing the approximate waiting time for a given attraction. The rules for calculating and verifying this time are identical to those on the summary screens.

What does the number 310 on the timers at Energylandia mean?

If you see the number 310 in the Energylandia app or on the displays at the entrance to the attraction, it means that the device is currently unavailable. This may be due to unfavorable weather (storm, heavy rain, strong wind), a failure of the attraction, or another event that prevents the rollercoaster or attraction from starting.

Waiting time on sidewalks

Waiting times are painted on the sidewalks in front of most popular attractions. Also approximate. If we are going to RMF Dragon, for example, let’s look down. Every dozen or so meters on the path there will be signs saying 30 minutes, 20 minutes, 10 minutes. They also give us information about how long we will be standing in the queue.

However, as with screens, a greater density of people in the queue will suffice and we will stand longer than the information on the path. In the case of lower density, the queue should move faster than the time painted on the sidewalks.

Unfortunately, waiting times for attractions do not take into account the number of trains in motion. Before going on a rollercoaster, it is worth checking whether there are two trains or one on the track. On Hyperion, Zadra, Formula, Abyssus, or Mayan, among others, another train is added when there are a lot of people. This can be easily recognized by the time intervals between the train leaving the track and the one that has just finished its run. If a train carrying people on Hyperion just slows down, and after a few seconds another one starts to climb the hill, it means that there are two trains in motion. On the other hand, if after the train stops, a few minutes pass before it starts, then there is one train in motion.

And so: in the case of two queues, the waiting time may turn out to be even shorter than that shown on the boards. In the case of one, the waiting time is usually longer than the screens show.

How to check waiting time in the Energylandia app?

Another reliable way to check the waiting time for the attraction is to install the official Energylandia app. The official Energylandia application can be downloaded from the store Google Play (for Android devices) or App Store (for iOS devices).

After launching the application, simply go to the map at the bottom and then filter only the attractions to make it easier to find the ones you are interested in on the map.

Now all you need to do is select a specific attraction. The panel at the bottom of the screen will display the current waiting time. Not all attractions have waiting times listed, but we will calmly check the information about the queues for all popular roller coasters and carousels.

The application will be useful to us in two cases. First of all, we don’t have to look for screens in the park. At any time and place, we can check our phone, check the waiting time and plan the next attractions we’re going to.

Moreover, a few days before our planned trip to Energylandia we can check the waiting times every day at different times of the day. Thanks to this analysis, we will be able to mentally prepare ourselves whether there will be long queues in the park during our presence. In addition, it is worth clicking through different attractions at different times of the day. Based on this, we will be able to plan the order in which we will complete the attractions that we want the most.
