Are height limits respected at Energylandia?

As a frequent visitor to Energylandia, I have witnessed many situations in which the children’s parents argued with service staff and attraction operators. The reason for these arguments was of course the child’s height and the few centimeters missing so that the child could get on the dream rollercoaster with his parents. How did these exchanges between employees and parents end? And also Are the height limits observed in Energylandia? I present to you later in this entry.

When my son reached 120 cm tall on virtually every attraction available to children from 120 cm in height it was measured. This was most frequently observed by staff on Anaconda, Jungle Adventure and Formula. It was less frequently measured on RMF Dragon or even extreme Abyssus. Today, when my son is already 127 cm tall, it still happens that Anaconda and Formula staff ask me to approach the measuring tape to verify my son’s height. However, I have never taken my son to an attraction that he still could not use according to the regulations.

Soon he will be able to try out the Flying Swings and Tsunami Drop for the first time. Even though he is 2-3 cm short of the height required by the regulations, I know that safety is the priority. I prefer to put aside the ambitions of a parent who wants to take their child to yet another attraction.

Can you enter the attractions if you are 1 cm short of height?

I have witnessed many times when staff asked parents with children to leave attractions where the height requirement was only 1 cm short. I recently saw a situation like this on Abyssus. A father went on the attraction with his son, who was 119 cm tall. After measuring him, the employee informed the main operator that the child was 1 cm short of 120 cm. The operator firmly informed the adult that the son could not use the roller coaster.

Everything would have been fine if the father had simply taken his son by the hand, explained to him why they couldn’t go for a ride, and left. But that’s not what happened. The pretentious father began a heated exchange of words with the cameraman. He explained that „takes the child at his own risk, that the regulations are exaggerated, that 1 cm makes no difference„, and other reckless texts like that. The operator summed up the whole situation with one wise and decisive sentence: „If something happened to the child, I would go to jail, not you!„.

It is also worth paying attention to the example below. Below I am posting a photo from Formula with my son, who is about 124 cm tall in the photo. The safety vest is practically at neck level. If a child was approximately 115-119 cm tall, how long would the safety vest reach? Probably up to the chin. During overloads and braking, the jaw and even the whole head would be exposed to injury. And maybe in fact, a child that is too short would not fall out, but could suffer other injuries. I will add that identical security measures are found on Abyssus.

Is Energylandia safe?

The above-described position of the operator, the assertiveness of Energylandia employees and rigorous compliance with the regulations imposed by the producers of the attractions deserve praise. It also proves that we can feel safe in Energylandia and trust the employees on the strongest attractions. I always have in the back of my mind the thought that the park employees put the safety of guests first. This makes Energylandia is a world leader in terms of safety. Therefore, the park cannot afford any minor mishap that could damage the park’s image. You can read more about safety at Energylandia in the entry: Are the attractions at Energylandia safe?

Why do some low-end attractions have inflated height limits?

There are several attractions in Energylandia where it might seem that the height limits are greatly inflated. This group includes in particular: Tidal Wave Twister, Flying Swings, Fuego, The dragon, whether Jungle Adventure. Tidal Wave Twister is only available for children from 140 cm in height. Flying Swings, which do not seem to generate any overloads and do not spin too fast, are only available for children from 130 cm in height.

Fuego and Draken, on the other hand, can be visited by children from 130 cm in height on their own. The Jungle Adventure rafting, where the only danger is splashing water, can be entered by children from 120 cm in height with a guardian.

These numbers and these limits on the above attractions also seem a bit high in my eyes. However, I believe that there are some factors that are simply not known to me, and that have influenced these and not other limits.

Excessive limits in Bajkolandia?

I have also come across many negative opinions from people that In Bajkolandia, most attractions are accessible only to children under 120 cm in height without a guardian. What’s worse for these people is that these height limits are respected. In fact, with children up to about 6 years of age, we have to go on everything together, even the weakest attractions designed specifically for infants.

Unfortunately, we cannot entrust the care of our little ones to the employees of the attractions at Bajkolandia. Even on the weakest ones, such as Jeep Safari or the Dwarf Farm, we are responsible for looking after our little ones. If we were to send a 3-year-old child on a ride on the Dwarf Farm? The track is far from the station and the fence, neither we nor the operators of the entire track can see. If in a distant section of the track such a naughty 3-year-old had the idea to jump out of the vehicle? What could happen? He could fall under the wheels of another vehicle.

As parents, who would we blame? Ourselves or the staff? We have to answer this question for ourselves. However, I know for sure that children from 120 cm in height are sufficiently intelligent and sensible. They can use such attractions on their own without the risk of deciding to create a threat.
