RMF Dragon is a steel family inverted rollercoaster. It was manufactured by the Dutch company Vekoma and put into service in EnergyLandia on June 3, 2015. RMF Dragon is located in the Family Zone and is its flagship attraction. This is the first inverted roller coaster in EnergyLandia and in the whole of Poland! In my personal ranking of the TOP 10 best attractions of EnergyLandia takes ninth place!
An interesting fact is that RMF Dragon is a serially produced SFC 453m model (with a track length of 453 meters). Since this is a serial product, we can find twin models in other amusement parks around the world: as many as five in China, two in Vietnam, two in the United States, one in Australia, Denmark, and France.

Serious accident on Dragon in Energylandia
On May 27, 2015, another serious accident occurred at Energylandia, fortunately without fatalities. One of the gardeners entered the closed area under the RMF Dragon rollercoaster. At around 8:30 a.m., while the park was closed, a 35-year-old Ukrainian citizen went to the closed area around the Dragon rollercoaster. The rollercoaster was performing its test ride. As in the case of Hyperion, the employee was hit by the speeding rollercoaster. The gardener suffered serious injuries and was transported by helicopter to one of the hospitals in Krakow. It turned out that the employee from Ukraine only suffered broken ribs and an arm, and his condition was stable. Information provided by Energylandia later said that worker jumped over the fence and entered the construction site of the Dragon roller coaster.

Description of the RMF Dragon ride
After leaving the station, the train turns left 90 degrees and starts climbing the hill using friction wheels. After reaching the top, it goes slightly to the left down a 20-meter drop and enters a tunnel that is sometimes smoked to enhance the experience. At the entrance to the tunnel on the right side there is a camera taking pictures.

Immediately after leaving the tunnel, the train makes a sharp 180-degree turn to the right (does a U-turn) with a strong tilt of the carriages to the left. After turning around, the rollercoaster overcomes a short straight section and overcomes a slight curve to the right with a rise. Then it goes into a tight left spiral, making a full turn and enters the second tunnel located above the attraction station.

After leaving the tunnel, the rollercoaster again goes through a tight left spiral, making a full turn, before passing through a right bend and entering a third tunnel with a slight drop. You can feel a slight tug in this tunnel, because the cars are slowed down slightly before the last 90-degree right turn. After the turn, the train enters the station and brakes.
My personal experiences during the RMF Dragon ride
RMF Dragon is ranked ninth in TOP 10 best attractions in EnergyLandia For this reason, I can confidently say that this is one of the best rollercoasters in the park. Of course, you have to be aware that RMF Dragon is a family attraction, so you won’t find any extreme sensations there – there is no inversion, and the track and ride time are short. Despite everything it’s a great attraction for kids – relatively high drop, high speed and suspended seats – all this makes an impression and raises adrenaline.

Without a doubt, Dragon as a mass-produced attraction is a successful product. It enjoys huge popularity throughout the season, and the possibility of using it by children from 120 cm affects the high attendance. Personally I prefer to sit in the last row of the queue, because at the top of the hill there is an interesting effect – the speed of the descent is noticeably much higher than in the first row. When we sit in the front – yes, the view is definitely more interesting, but the descent itself is felt less – the carriages slowly gain speed. I recommend testing the ride personally – once from the front, and then from the back.
Alone the driving track is very smooth, which increases comfort. In addition, there is no feeling of weightlessness (it does not tear us away from the seat). The only less pleasant moment is the jerk in the last tunnel, when the train slows down before entering the station.
How long does the wait for RMF Dragon take place?
Due to the availability of RMF Dragon from a height of 120 cm, it is actually one of the better rollercoasters in EnergyLandia for ages 6-7. For this reason, during the season, long queues can form at RMF Dragon with waiting times lasting up to several dozen minutes.

If we really want to ride the RMF Dragon during our vacation, let’s go there right after the park opens. We can then count on a short queue, or even entry without waiting. Although at the station itself we have small open shelves for small personal items, I strongly encourage you to leave all your things in the deposit lockers, which are located right in front of the attraction station. If we do not go to Dragon after opening, then later until the park closes in high season it will be difficult to find a short queue. This is one of the attractions of EnergyLandia, which is crowded almost all day long.
The entrance to RMF Dragon is located in a non-obvious place. You need to get to the square in front of the Monster House and head left (to the Viking Village). Just past the Egypt Theater on the right is the entrance leading to the Dragon Station. During the Winter Kingdom, the entrance is on the main alley, right after passing the Monster House (in front of the volcano).
