Of October Halloween Time is in Energylandia, and on Saturday, October 22nd, there will be Halloween Night, when Energylandia is open until 10 p.m. What’s more, during Halloween Night you can buy tickets 50% cheaper if you come in full costume „Halloween„. The entire Halloween period in Energylandia is a great time for all of you who like „terrible” fun, ghosts, nightmares and fun in haunted houses. And there are as many as 4 of them in Energylandia. The first one is located in Family Zone in the Monster House attraction building, and 3 haunted houses in Energylandia are opening in Dragon Castle in the so-called Horror Zone.
What are the opening hours of the Haunted Houses at Energylandia?
Energylandia is open in October from 10:00 to 18:00. On October 22, on Halloween Night, you can have fun from 10:00 to 22:00. On days when the number of guests is high, closing time is usually moved to 19:00, and the houses are open until 18:00. We can visit all haunted houses in Energylandia from 11:00 to 17:00 (last entry).
Horror Zone in Dragon Horror
This is a specially designated part of the Dragon Castle: from the Lancelot Shop to the Green Cafe. The whole is blocked by a wall that clearly states that this is a place for people over 16 years of age. Of course, we can enter this zone with small children, but at our own risk. This is because in the Horror Zone we can meet ghosts and clowns with a chainsaw, who like to turn it on from time to time and chase girls. So here we will meet a headless apparition, ghosts with a head on a plate, a gallows and a grave. Thanks to this, it is scary and funny at the same time. Despite everything, there is nothing to be afraid of. Animators dressed as ghosts cannot touch us or interact with us physically. They can scare us, chase us, or frighten us. Although I have encountered a case where a girl chased by a ghost with a saw dropped her phone on a concrete block. It probably did not happen without damage.
The Horror Zone istooplace,which contains the entrances to the 3 best haunted houses: Scary Loft,Obsessive House, Psychoterria. All of them are available to people aged 16 and over and you can enter in groups of 4.
Scary Loft
Scary Loft is themed around a scary attic, where various ghosts and spirits scare people. The entrance to this house of fear is located on the right side of the Horror Zone, just before the Green Cafe. In groups of several people, we walk through narrow and very dark corridors, where animators dressed as ghosts, ghouls and other scary creatures scare us from time to time. The thematics are not very visible, and that is because in the haunted house it’s simply very dark. Sometimes it’s hard to find the path we should follow. It’s best to look for arrows on the walls that indicate the correct direction. On the way we go up the stairs to the upper floor, and in various places we hear sounds and cracks behind the walls. The effect is also enhanced by strobe light and sound effects.
We exit the Scary Loft horror house through the back next to the Fuego attraction. The time to complete the game is approximately 5 minutes. Scary Loft is available for ages 16 and up.
Obsessive House
Obsessive House is a haunted house that is said to bea serial killer is on the loose. The entrance to this house is on the left side of the Fright Zone, right behind the Lancelot Shop. In groups of 4, we go through very dark corridors and rooms where animators are hiding, their task being to instill fear in us. Immediately after entering, we are encouraged to read a fragment of the newspaper hanging on the wall. But its content is not important. This is just an encouragement to approach the wall from which the first apparition will jump out. Going further we encounter various scarecrows and artificial characters that are meant to scare us. In the meantime we have to keep an eye on our direction because it is very dark in the house. As in other houses, follow the arrows on the walls. At the end of the haunted house, a certain bogeyman will follow us for a while, but don’t pay attention to it. It won’t hurt us.
The Obsessive House is exited through the Lancelot Shop. The play time is approximately 5 minutes. Obsessive House is available for ages 16 and up.
Psychoterria
Psychoterria is themed on a psychiatric hospital and is considered the scariest haunted house in Energylandia. It is located on the left side just behind the Obsessive House in the Horror Zone. In groups of 4, we go through a very dark labyrinth of corridors and several rooms. Already at the entrance, encouraged by the wait at the so-called hospital reception, we are intimidated by the first animator. Further wandering through narrow, dark and intricate corridors we reach various rooms with a really nice level of dark atmosphere. Going further we reach a long, red corridor, from the ceiling of which an animator will jump at some point. This is one of the best moments of this haunted house. Similar to the houses above, sometimes it is a challenge to find the direction of the road and the door, but in such situations, just look for the arrows on the walls. It may happen that we will hit a wall.
From the Psychoterria Haunted House you exit through the back of the building and you have to pass the Frida rollercoaster to get back in. The time of completion is about 5 minutes. Psychotherapy is available from the age of 16.
Monster House
Monster House is the only scary (monster) house available all year round in Energylandia. It can normally be used by children from the age of two. During Halloween Time, entry to the Monster House is only possible from the age of 12. It is also the weakest of the four houses of fear. We travel in small carriages among decorations themed around various scary monsters. During Halloween, we can also meet actors who increase the fear. In fact, during the rides, we meet three characters. The first one will follow us for a few meters right after the ride begins. The second character appears in the tunnel, and the third one jumps out from behind the decorations at the end. The latter can be the most frightening. In addition, during Halloween, the Monster House is a bit darker than normal.
Monster House is located in the center of the Family Zone, near Space Gun. The ride takes about 3-4 minutes. Monster House in Halloween Time is available from 12 years of age.
Are the haunted houses in Energylandia scary?
In my opinion, no. For an adult who likes to watch a good horror movie every now and then, the scary houses in Energylandia will not cause much fear. The only effect that works is the classic Jump scare, or a technique so popular in horror films, consisting of a sudden appearance of a terrifying figure. This is the only effect we will encounter in the houses in Energylandia. Unfortunately, there are not many of them. There are only 3-4 animators in each house, and the rest is the scenography, a few bangs from behind the wall, here and there atmospheric sounds and the omnipresent darkness and searching for the direction of the passage.
Personally I miss some really atmospheric music from horror movies in the Horror Zone. Since this is a place for people over 16, cheerful music does not make us feel the dark atmosphere. Horror music could also accompany us all the time in houses of fear. There could be more animators, and it would be even scarier if they interacted with us physically. For example, on the stairs in Scary Loft someone would grab us by the leg, and in others someone would poke us from behind. Sometimes I also had the impression that a bit more lighting would allow us to see the scenography better, to feel the darkness of the place.
I have the impression that each of the houses is similar. It is so dark that we do not know whether we are in a mental hospital, a haunted house or a scary attic. In addition, the houses are closed at 5 p.m., when it is still light. If they were to open an hour later, so that they would be open until the end of the park’s opening, the evening darkness while waiting in line would intensify the experience.
Ideally, we would enter each house individually or in pairs at most. In a group of 4, we usually don’t feel as much fear with strangers. In addition After passing through one house, each subsequent one becomes predictable. Despite everything, I highly recommend facing your fears and visiting the haunted houses in Energylandia.
