Formula<\/strong> is a steel rollercoaster of the launched coaster type.<\/strong> It was manufactured by the Dutch company Vekoma and put into operation at Energylandia on June 25, 2016. The formula is located in the Extreme Zone and is one of its most popular attractions. This is one of two rollercoasters in EnergyLandia with an electromagnetic drive.<\/strong> This means that the attraction does not have a classic chain hoist, but starts in a horizontal position using strong electromagnets. In my personal ranking of the TOP 10 best attractions of Energylandia<\/a><\/strong> takes eighth place in the ranking TOP 6 extreme roller coasters in EnergyLandia<\/a><\/strong> ranks sixth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Formula was a prototype model of a coaster powered by an electromagnetic drive equipped with a new type of train. There are only two identical models in the world: one in EnergyLandia and the other in China in the Fantawild park. The Formula was the first coaster in Poland with an electromagnetic drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Description of the Formula ride<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The train leaves the station, negotiates a left-hand bend of about 45 degrees and enters a tunnel, where it stops. The tunnel, styled after a Formula 1 pit lane, has an electromagnetic drive. This is often where the smoke is intentionally added to enhance the experience, and there is also an audible countdown to launch.<\/strong> Sometimes both the smoke effect and sound effects are missing, and it may even happen that the waiting time for the queue to start is much longer than usual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After „firing” the wagons, The Formula reaches a speed of close to 80 km\/h in just 2 seconds<\/strong> and enters the first inversion (large loop) called the left sidewinder with a height of 24.8 meters. After passing the inversion, the train passes by a camera taking pictures of passengers and makes a 180-degree turn to the left close to the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then the Formula passes over a low hill, at the top of which you can experience negative overloads of up to -1 g (this can tear us away from our seats<\/strong>). After the ascent, the coaster overcomes a second inversion, this time a right corkscrew, then makes a 180-degree right turn, passing through a tunnel, and overcomes another small incline with a left bank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the final phase of the ride, the train goes through one last inversion, another right-handed corkscrew, followed by a 180-degree turn to the left, a rise and the cars braking by the electromagnetic braking system. At this point the queue may remain stopped for several to several dozen seconds.<\/strong> This is a normal phenomenon, because at the same time a second train may be being loaded or an additional train may be being pulled out of the siding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After leaving the section with brakes, the train makes a 180-degree turn to the right and returns to the station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My personal experiences during the Formula ride<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Formula was my first attraction during my first visit to EnergyLandia. It made a huge impression on me, so much so that that day I was very afraid to enter other attractions. Today – after a few years – I know that the Formula is the weakest extreme rollercoaster in EnergyLandia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s a bit like a demo version of Abyssus. Both coasters can be easily compared, with the difference that Formula is like 25-30% of the Abyssus rollercoaster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the ride on the Formula is only about 30 seconds long – it is a great attraction, it provides a lot of experiences. I love the launch from the electromagnetic drive and the first inversion (loop). Driving through subsequent hills gives the effect of falling out of the seat, and corkscrews complete the intensity of the experience. Despite the 30 seconds of fun – it is intense fun, loaded with inversions, weightlessness and high speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I recommend Formula to all those who plan to ride Abyssus, but also Zadra and Hyperion. If Formula is no longer a big challenge for you, feel free to raise the bar. And if Formula is your favorite rollercoaster, then you should definitely do Abyssus. Because Abyssus is Formula on steroids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How long does the wait for the Formula be?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Due to the availability of the Formula from a height of 120 cm, it is actually the second strongest attraction for children from 6-7 years of age. For this reason, during the Formula One season, very long queues can form with waiting times of up to 40-60 minutes.<\/strong> However, in early summer there shouldn’t be long queues and after a maximum of 20-30 minutes we should be able to complete the Formula One ride.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If we really want to drive a Formula One car during our vacation, let’s go there right after the park opens<\/strong>. Then we can count on a short queue, or even entry without waiting. In my opinion, Formula is the second most popular attraction in EnergyLandia after RMF Dragon. Long queues can last almost the entire day in high season. Adding a second train does not help much. To speed up loading of the cars, I strongly encourage you to use the deposit lockers, which are located right in front of the attraction station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The entrance to Formula is located on the left side of the characteristic rollercoaster loop.<\/strong> The alley leads to the back of the attraction.
